Something old, something new, and something that blew you away
The best sneakers, you are looking back in time and feeling nostalgic. Sneakers are having a throwback moment, restoring styles. We have piled the list of 6 coolest kicks that are now demanding our attention.
Adidas Samba
Circa now, the Adidas Samba is ubiquitous. No Instagram scroll is complete without a sighting of this streetwear icon. First introduced in 1950, the shoe has seen many updates with cool collaborations, the most recent being with Wales Bonner. The collab fuelled the resurgence and rise of the silhouette as the British designer reworked the classic style in premium suede and toffee shades. It reiterates what we knew was true all along – the sleek and slender-looking sneakers pair well with everything and are super-easy to style.
Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Year of the Rabbit
Nike is honouring the year with its Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Year of the Rabbit.” Limited to just 5000 pairs, the sneaker has a fuzzy suede and leather panelled upper with bunny-inspired furry and frayed laces. In neutral shades of brown, white, sail and grey, it is easily one of the best and most wearable sneakers we’ve seen in a minute.
Salomon x Sandy Liang XT-6
Sneaker brand Salomon created a pink XT-6 sneaker, a unique twist on Salomon’s classic design. Drawing inspiration from Pokémon characters Jigglypuff and Whimsicott, Liang incorporated pink and green details to offer a nostalgic yet modern version of the shoe. This eye-catching design appeals to both millennials and Gen-Z, making it an ideal choice for girls who may not consider themselves sneaker enthusiasts but still want to stay trendy.
Awake NY X Asics Gel NYC Sneakers
A new take on their archival GEL design, they made it bigger and better by collaborating with New York-based label Awake NYC. The standout shoe from the drop comes in a saturated teal and pink colourway. It is featuring the Awake logo on the heel, the spirited colour duo makes it the best one to hit the shelves so far. We are facing up in these dad sneakers and wearing them with our slinky slip dress.
