When I discovered the magic of exercise, how it can bring immense happiness and positivity into our lives. As someone who used to dread physical activity, it was a big surprise to realize that consistent workouts could bring a significant transformation in both my physical and mental health. And now, during these tough times of the pandemic. I find that sticking to my fitness routine has become more crucial than ever before, keeping me sane and motivated even amidst the chaos.
There are so many reasons why I believe that fitness is the ultimate mood booster. Firstly, it gives me a sense of community and belonging, which is essential in times of social distancing and isolation. I’ve found my fitness family at AMP Athletic, and now we meet every day for Zoom workouts or park sessions.
Additionally, fitness has made me stronger, both physically and mentally, I no longer feel like my body is working against me, instead, I feel empowered and confident. I can now lift weights and run for longer distances, which is a great achievement for me. And the best part?
Become more resilient and mentally tough.
Of course, we all know that exercise releases endorphins, which are the feel-good chemicals in our brains. But, did you know that regular exercise can also alleviate symptoms of depression?
Whether you prefer walking, running, cycling, or dancing, it is all about getting your heart rate up and can be a great way to boost your mood and stay truly happy.
Another benefit of exercise is that it helps me to control my short fuse. Whenever I feel stressed or frustrated, I turn to my punch bag or join a boxing session on Instagram Live. It’s a fun way to release all the pent-up emotions and feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
And finally, exercise allows me to disconnect from the world and reconnect with myself. Whether it’s swimming or walking in the park, I cherish those moments of solitude where I can be uncontactable and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
So, there you have it – five reasons why fitness makes me happy. If you’re feeling down or overwhelmed, I highly recommend trying some form of physical activity. Who knows, you might discover the happiness that I did!
